Lee Budd

Founder + Principal

1993

Lee started his career with The Bergman Companies where he was mentored by Mark Bergman. Here he grew a small drafting department into an established Architectural firm. Mentionable project the firm completed included; Kentucky Fried Chicken (western states roll out), Wendy's, Tommy's Original Hamburger (prototype Program and Rollout), Taco Bell, Starbucks, Seattle's Best Coffee, El Torito, Wicks Lumber, Golds Gym, Rite Aid, Walgreen's, Best Buy, Circuit City, Levitz, Lowe's, Inland Hills Church, Americas Tire Company (National roll-out), and multiple 30+ Acre Super Retail Centers. Lee's time at The Bergman Companies was monumental in developing his foundation in the industry and his future success. 

2004

Lee left The Bergman Companies in good standing to start his Design Firm (LBA) where he successfully Designed 500+ Custom homes and residential tracks with established developers. Here he designed homes for developer libraries to continue rebuilds in multiple track developments. He also designed 5,000 s.f. + custom homes for private residences, shopping centers, and condominium projects for private development firms in the High Desert.

2008

Lee went back to work with The Bergman Companies as their Site Acquisitions and Site Designer for the Fresh & Easy roll-outs in San Diego County | Orange County | Riverside County where he designed the elevations, site layout and worked directly with Fresh & Easy's Executive staff to establish approved projects to take through the Entitlement Process in each City. He designed over 175 sites and successfully entitled 65+ centers. He was also assigned as the Architectural Site Project Manager for multiple Disneyland projects in Anaheim California where we were on-site daily as demolition began to establish architectural and structural details to be approved to keep the Disneyland Construction managers on track with their target completion dates.

2010

Lee was hired as a Project Manager at Energy Inspectors with a staff of 2 people. He quickly worked with the Executive staff and developed the firm, what would later be called Ei Engineering, into a team of 55+ staff members and a 5+ Million dollar division servicing the disciplines of Energy, HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Engineering. As the Vice President of Ei Engineering, he grew the division into multiple states servicing the top 20 Home Developers in the industry including; Toll Brothers, KB Home, DR Horton, Meritage Homes, K. Hovanian Homes, Pulte Homes, Richmond American Homes, New Home Company and many more. Lee established a successful process with each developer, streamlining their process and ensuring the MEP design was the most efficient, helping home developers market their efficient homes to the consumer market. Ei Engineering has successfully designed 10,000+ homes across the country and continues to strive as a leading Engineering Firm in the Home Development sector.

2017

While still responsible as Vice President of Ei Engineering, Lee worked with the Ei Companies Executive staff to Develop an Architectural Firm called Ei Design. As the Chief Operating Officer, he successfully put a team together and brought to the firm clients such as America's Tire/Discount Tires, Dry Bar, Madison Reed, Starbucks, JPL Pasadena, Greenfield Organix Inc. with a 222,831 SF Grow Facility on 9.7 acres, 7-Eleven, Norms, PF Chang's, BurgerIM. Before Lee left Ei Design he had established a staff of 40+ servicing their clients with the disciplines of Architecture, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing - billing well over 3 million in revenue.

2020

Lee establishes a new firm, Pacific Crest Design, Inc., and partners with Charles Good-Man, an architect for over 35 years. Their combined experience of 62 years in multiple fields of Architecture and Land Development brings to the market a wealth of knowledge and experience to their clients. PCD's services include Architecture, Planning, and Engineering services.
